Description

40g of carbohydrate in one 60ml gel, built for long training days and race-day fuelling.

SiS Beta Fuel Energy Gel is a high-carbohydrate gel for runners, cyclists and triathletes who need to take on more fuel without carrying a pocket full of smaller gels. Each sachet combines maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio and delivers 40g of carbohydrate.

That makes the maths refreshingly simple. Two gels provide 80g of carbohydrate; three provide 120g. SiS developed Beta Fuel for longer endurance sessions, particularly efforts lasting more than two hours where a higher hourly carbohydrate intake may be useful.

Why Ready Sweat Go likes SiS Beta Fuel

This is a purposeful gel. It gives you a meaningful amount of carbohydrate in a single sachet, the flavours are straightforward, and the front-of-pack number makes it easy to keep track when your brain is busy with the next climb, aid station or kilometre marker.

Choose Orange or Strawberry & Lime when you want a light fruit flavour. Choose Neutral when flavour fatigue tends to become the problem late in a long event.

At a glance

  • 40g carbohydrate per 60ml gel
  • 1:0.8 maltodextrin-to-fructose ratio
  • Available as single sachets or manufacturer six-packs in every flavour
  • Made for endurance exercise lasting around two hours or more
  • Caffeine-free in Orange, Neutral and Strawberry & Lime
  • Suitable for vegans and vegetarians
  • Informed Sport tested
  • Made in the United Kingdom

How to use it

Use Beta Fuel as part of a fuelling plan that you have practised in training. SiS suggests 1–3 gels per hour to help reach an 80–120g hourly carbohydrate target, depending on the athlete, intensity and event. More is not automatically better: start with a level you tolerate, build gradually and include carbohydrate from drinks or food in your total.

If you are new to high-carbohydrate fuelling, test the gel on a steady long session before using it in a race.

SiS Beta Fuel Gel FAQs

What is SiS Beta Fuel Gel?

It is a 60ml dual-source carbohydrate energy gel containing 40g of carbohydrate from maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio.

Who is it best for?

It is designed for endurance training and racing, especially sessions lasting more than two hours where you are working towards a higher carbohydrate intake.

Does this SiS Beta Fuel Gel contain caffeine?

No. The Orange, Neutral and Strawberry & Lime options on this page are caffeine-free. SiS sells separate Beta Fuel + Nootropics gels that do contain caffeine; those are not included here.

Which flavour should I choose?

Orange is fresh and familiar, Strawberry & Lime adds a sharper fruit note, and Neutral is the best choice when you want to minimise flavour fatigue over a long day.

How many gels should I take per hour?

SiS suggests 1–3 gels per hour as part of an 80–120g carbohydrate-per-hour strategy. Your appropriate intake depends on your body, experience, intensity and the rest of your fuelling. Practise before race day.

Pairs well with

40g. One sachet. A simpler long-session plan.

SiS Beta Fuel Gel puts a clearly measured 40g of carbohydrate into a compact 60ml sachet, helping you carry less and keep your fuelling plan easy to count when the effort gets long.

The numbers that matter

40g carbohydrate

A substantial serving in one compact gel.

1:0.8 dual source

Maltodextrin and fructose in SiS's stated ratio.

For longer efforts

Designed with endurance sessions over two hours in mind.

Caffeine-free

Flexible enough to sit alongside your own caffeine plan.

High-carbohydrate endurance fuel

Carry less. Fuel more.

One sachet gives you 40g of carbohydrate, so a high-carbohydrate plan can mean fewer gels in your pockets. The cleanest plan is the one you have practised: count every gel, drink and food source, then build your intake gradually in training.

Fuelling maths you can do before the start

1 gel = 40g

A simple single serving to combine with drinks or solid food.

2 gels = 80g

An easy number to track across a longer hour of racing or training.

3 gels = 120g

A very high intake that should only follow progressive gut training and an individual plan.

THE CARBOHYDRATE SYSTEM

Why the 1:0.8 blend matters

Beta Fuel combines maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio. These carbohydrate sources use different intestinal transport pathways, an approach designed to support higher carbohydrate delivery than relying on one source alone.

That does not make more automatically better. Your workable intake depends on the rest of your plan, your gut training and the demands of the session.

Pick the flavour that disappears into your plan

Orange

A familiar citrus option when you want a clear, recognisable flavour.

SiS Beta Fuel Energy Gel 60ml in Neutral flavour

Neutral

A lower-flavour choice for long sessions or athletes prone to flavour fatigue.

Strawberry & Lime

A fruitier option that adds variety across a long ride, run or race.

MAKE IT YOURS IN TRAINING

A race plan should feel familiar

Before: decide the total carbohydrate you want from gels, drinks and food.

During: use the 40g serving to keep count, while following a separate fluid and sodium plan for the conditions.

In training: start below your target and build gradually. Never make race day your first test of a new gel or a high hourly intake.

SiS Beta Fuel Gel FAQs

What is SiS Beta Fuel Gel?

SiS Beta Fuel Gel is a caffeine-free 60ml endurance gel that provides 40g of carbohydrate. It uses maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio and is designed for longer, harder endurance efforts.

Who is SiS Beta Fuel Gel for?

It is best suited to runners, cyclists and triathletes who want a higher-carbohydrate gel for long training sessions and races, particularly efforts lasting more than two hours.

How many SiS Beta Fuel Gels should I take per hour?

One gel provides 40g carbohydrate, two provide 80g and three provide 120g. Your total hourly intake should include every source of carbohydrate, including drinks and food. Start conservatively, practise in training and build gradually rather than introducing a high intake on race day.

Do I need to take SiS Beta Fuel Gel with water?

The gel can be consumed without water. It does not replace your normal fluid or sodium strategy, so plan hydration separately for the conditions, duration and your individual needs.

Which caffeine-free flavours are available?

Ready Sweat Go is preparing Orange, Neutral and Strawberry & Lime. All three options on this product page are caffeine-free.

Is SiS Beta Fuel Gel vegan and tested for sport?

SiS lists these caffeine-free flavours as suitable for vegans and tested under the Informed Sport programme. Always check the sachet and current manufacturer information if you have a specific dietary or anti-doping requirement.
