SiS endurance fuel, chosen with purpose

Science in Sport has spent decades developing sports nutrition for training and competition. We are starting with Beta Fuel Gel: a compact 40g carbohydrate option for athletes who want a clear, countable way to fuel long sessions and races.

This collection is designed to grow with the range. Future SiS gels, drinks or other endurance products will sit here automatically, while every eligible product is also connected to Ready Sweat Go’s Fuel Finder.

Science in Sport makes practical, science-led fuel for training and race day.

We are starting our SiS range with Beta Fuel Energy Gel: a compact 60ml gel delivering 40g of carbohydrate from maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio. It is a useful option for long runs, rides and triathlons when you want more carbohydrate per sachet and simpler fuelling maths.

Why Ready Sweat Go stocks SiS

SiS products are designed around clear use cases, straightforward numbers and repeatable race-day routines. Beta Fuel earns its place here because it is easy to count, easy to carry and available in caffeine-free flavours, including Neutral for athletes who struggle with flavour fatigue.

Our SiS collection will grow carefully if the gels prove useful to our customers. For now, start with the SiS Beta Fuel Energy Gel, compare it with our full energy gels range, or explore all endurance fuel.

Science in Sport FAQs

What is Science in Sport?

Science in Sport, commonly known as SiS, is a sports nutrition brand focused on fuelling, hydration and recovery products for endurance and team-sport athletes.

What is SiS Beta Fuel?

Beta Fuel is SiS's higher-carbohydrate endurance range. The gel we stock provides 40g of carbohydrate per 60ml sachet and is designed for longer training and racing.

Who are SiS energy gels for?

They are most relevant to runners, cyclists and triathletes who want portable carbohydrate during endurance exercise. Practise your fuelling plan in training before relying on it on race day.

Is SiS Beta Fuel tested for banned substances?

SiS states that Beta Fuel Gel is Informed Sport tested. Athletes subject to testing should always check the exact batch and current certification before use.

SiS fuelling guidance

Why choose a 40g gel?

A 40g gel reduces the number of sachets needed to reach a higher hourly carbohydrate target. One gel gives 40g, two give 80g and three give 120g, making the plan easy to count while moving.

Higher intake is not automatically better. Match it to the duration and intensity of your session, include carbohydrate from drinks and food, and train your gut gradually.

Build the plan before race day

Use long training sessions to test flavour, texture, timing and hydration. Start fuelling early enough to stay ahead of the fade, then adjust based on what you can tolerate consistently.

If Beta Fuel is not the right fit, compare the wider energy gel range to find a format and carbohydrate level that works for you.
