Run
Paths, parks, hills and clean air turn an ordinary run into time well spent.
Ready Sweat Go commitments
We run, ride and swim through an environment we too easily take for granted. Ready Sweat Go gives 1% of annual sales to environmental organisations through 1% for the Planet. It is a commitment we intend to keep through thick and thin.
Why it matters to us
Movement connects us to the natural world in a very direct way. The places where we train, clear our heads and spend time together deserve more than appreciation. They deserve practical support.
Paths, parks, hills and clean air turn an ordinary run into time well spent.
Roads, trails and changing landscapes remind us how much there is to look after.
Lochs, rivers, pools and coastlines make healthy water impossible to take lightly.
Where the idea began
On a fishing trip in 2001, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, agreed that businesses should give 1% of annual sales, not profits, to environmental organisations. They founded 1% for the Planet in 2002.
That clarity is what struck a chord with us. The commitment is tied to sales, giving is directed to approved environmental partners, and members provide evidence each year for certification.
Set aside at least 1% of annual sales for environmental giving.
Support one or more approved environmental partners.
Provide revenue and donation evidence so the commitment can be checked each year.
A word from Tony
Ready Sweat Go was never meant to be only about products. I wanted it to help people feel better and move more, while doing some good beyond the order itself.
As a small family business in the west of Scotland, this commitment feels personal. The hills, roads, lochs and coast are where I train, think and spend time with my family. With two daughters, I cannot help thinking about what those places might look and feel like for the next generation.
1% for the Planet gave us a practical way to act. It is straightforward, it is accountable and it is a promise we intend to keep, through thick and thin.

Tony
