Our Founder’s Story

Write an ‘About’ page, they said. “Be authentic,” they said. So straight onto ChatGPT I go. Ten minutes later, out pops a load of fromage about a lad from Paisley that no one will ever read. It was terrible. Not me at all. So this is my version, flaws and all (but authentic if nothing else).

Not a tale of woe. I’ve had a great life, job, wife, kids, a straight path, and I’m all the better for it. I come from the west of Scotland and I love the outdoors. If you’ve seen my socials (all five of you), you’ll know it’s me with my family up a hill or down by the sea. It’s what makes me tick.

So why start Ready Sweat Go?

Well, after being made redundant and following two heart attacks, one just a month after running the Loch Ness Marathon, I had to pause. It hit home how fragile we are, especially with all the pressures of modern life. Mental and physical health aren’t luxuries. They’re essentials, but we often don’t see them (or respect them) in that way, until it’s too late.

So I created Ready Sweat Go to reflect what matters: finding strength in the everyday. Getting outdoors. Fueling up properly. Feeling better. Doing good.

We source products that work. Products with integrity. British-made where we can. Better for the planet. Honest. Effective.
