Description

Precision Fuel & Hydration PH 1500 Electrolyte Packets deliver the same strong hydration support as the tablet version, but in a more portable single-serve format. Precision describe PH 1500 as a very strong electrolyte drink designed to help you start hydrated and stay that way once you’re sweating, particularly if you are a heavy or salty sweater.

The packet format is ideal when convenience matters. It’s easy to drop into a race bag, running vest, jersey pocket or travel kit, giving you access to stronger electrolyte support without carrying a full tube. The core hydration strategy stays the same: strong sodium replacement in a low-calorie hypotonic drink, but in a format that feels more practical for race day, travel and long sessions on the move. Precision also highlight PH 1500 as their strongest electrolyte drink in the core hydration range, and note that it is commonly used by athletes aiming to start well hydrated and recover faster after intense exercise, as well as during exercise by heavy / salty sweaters.

At Ready Sweat Go, we like PH 1500 Packets for the same reason we like the tablets: they solve a very real endurance problem. If you know you lose a lot of salt, struggle in hot weather, or see performance start to fade as time and distance build, this is the kind of product that can help you stay steadier for longer. The packet format just makes that support easier to carry and easier to use.

If PH 1000 is the strong all-rounder, PH 1500 is the stronger portable option for athletes who know they need more.

Fluid and sodium needs are individual. Match strength and intake to your own sweat losses and conditions; seek qualified advice if you have a medical condition, take medication or have been told to restrict sodium. Follow the current pack.

Why Ready Sweat Go loves Precision Hydration.

We stock Precision Hydration because sweat loss is individual, and hydration works best when sodium intake reflects that.

Precision’s strength-based approach removes guesswork, allowing athletes to manage hydration separately from fuelling and adjust intake as conditions change.

It’s a practical, evidence-led system that supports endurance performance without unnecessary ingredients or flavour overload.

Precision Hydration - FAQs

What is Precision Hydration?

Precision Hydration is an electrolyte system designed to replace sodium lost through sweat during endurance training and racing.

Products are labelled by sodium strength, allowing athletes to choose hydration based on how much sodium they lose, rather than relying on a single generic electrolyte drink.

This approach helps athletes hydrate more accurately, particularly during longer sessions, warmer conditions, or high sweat rates.

Why does sodium matter in hydration?

Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost in sweat and plays a key role in fluid absorption, nerve signalling, and muscle function. Replacing sodium appropriately helps support hydration, comfort, and performance during endurance exercise.

Because sodium loss varies widely between individuals, replacing too little or too much can both cause problems.

Precision Hydration focuses on matching intake to actual sweat loss rather than guessing.

What’s the difference between PH 500, PH 1000 and PH 1500?

The difference between Precision Hydration products is the amount of sodium provided per litre:

PH 500 provides 500mg sodium per litre. Best suited to lighter sweaters, cooler conditions, or shorter sessions.
PH 1000 provides 1000mg sodium per litre. Used by many endurance athletes for everyday training and racing.
PH 1500 provides 1500mg sodium per litre. Designed for heavy or salty sweaters, long sessions, or hot conditions.

Choosing the right strength depends on individual sweat rate, sweat sodium concentration, and conditions.

Many athletes combine different formats within the same session.

How do I know which hydration strength to choose?

Most athletes start with PH 1000, as it suits a wide range of endurance training and racing scenarios.

You may prefer:

PH 500 if you sweat lightly or train in cool conditions
PH 1000 for most long runs, rides, and races
PH 1500 if you sweat heavily, notice salt marks on clothing, or struggle with cramps in warm conditions

Many athletes adjust strength depending on weather, duration, and intensity.

Do Precision Hydration products contain carbohydrates?

No. Precision Hydration products focus purely on electrolyte replacement, not energy.

Carbohydrate intake is managed separately using Precision Energy Gels or other fuel sources. This separation allows athletes to adjust hydration and fueling independently, which is especially useful when conditions or intensity change.

This makes them particularly suitable for long training sessions, races, and multi-hour endurance events.

Can Precision Hydration help with cramping?

Cramping can have multiple causes, but inadequate sodium intake is a common factor for some endurance athletes, particularly during long or hot sessions.

Replacing sodium appropriately through hydration can help reduce the risk of cramps related to electrolyte imbalance. Precision Hydration’s strength-based system makes it easier to match sodium intake to sweat loss.

Are Precision Hydration products easy on the stomach?

Yes. Precision Hydration products are designed to be gentle on the stomach, using a straightforward formulation without unnecessary ingredients or strong flavours.
Making them suitable for use over long durations and during hard efforts.

Who uses Precision Hydration?

Precision Hydration products are used by professional and elite endurance athletes as well as serious amateurs.
Athletes associated with Precision Fuel & Hydration include Lucy Charles-Barclay, Sam Laidlow, and Kristian Blummenfelt, alongside competitors at the highest level of Ironman, triathlon, marathon running, and ultra-distance racing.

Are Precision Hydration products vegan and allergen-friendly?

Yes. Precision Hydration products are suitable for vegans and are free from common allergens, including gluten, dairy, and soy.
As with any nutrition product, athletes with specific medical allergies should always check the ingredient list before use.
