Description
An eight-day hot-weather preparation protocol built around 4,000mg L-taurine per sachet.
truefuels CoreCtrl is not an energy gel and it is not a race-day rescue product. It is a specialist supplement designed to sit alongside sensible heat acclimation, pacing, hydration and fuelling before an event expected to be warm or humid.
What CoreCtrl provides
| L-taurine | 4,000mg |
|---|---|
| Potassium | 300mg |
| Calcium | 120mg |
| Magnesium | 60mg |
| Salt | 0.26g per serving |
| Energy | 1kcal per serving |
How the protocol works
The manufacturer instructs athletes to take one sachet daily for eight days, with the final serving on event morning. For athletes under 60kg, truefuels specifies a two-days-on, one-day-off pattern; this extends the protocol to 12 days, with the final dose still taken on event morning.
The eight-sachet pack is the natural starting point. The 16- and 32-sachet formats suit multiple events or extended use, but truefuels notes that long-term studies are limited and suggests a break of about one week after 24 or more continuous days.
Who might consider it?
It is aimed at endurance athletes preparing for a warm marathon, ultra, triathlon, cycling event or functional-endurance competition. It should support—not replace—heat adaptation, appropriate fluid and electrolyte intake, carbohydrate fuelling and sensible pacing.
Ingredients
L-taurine (4,000mg), potassium (300mg), calcium (120mg), magnesium (60mg), Himalayan rock salt and black pepper extract.
Important before use
CoreCtrl is a specialist supplement. Informed Sport independently lists CoreCtrl as certified, but Ready Sweat Go has not verified the exact batch held in stock; tested athletes should check the sachet batch in the current directory. Do not introduce it for the first time immediately before an important race. If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are unsure whether a high-dose taurine supplement is appropriate, speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
Build the rest of your plan with energy gels, hydration and drink mixes, and the wider endurance range.
