The Ready Sweat Go view

Why Ready Sweat Go likes Tailwind Endurance Fuel

It is hard not to like Tailwind Endurance Fuel. We were immediately impressed with how easily it mixes: the powder is fine and dissolves quickly in water. It combines carbohydrate and electrolytes, with a broad choice of flavours both with and without caffeine. For longer activities where drinking your fuel is practical, it has earned its place in the RSG range.

Use it well

Mix it, sip it, practice it

Follow the instructions on the exact pack, then practice the full drink and fuel plan in training. Adjust it for session length, conditions, pace and what else you plan to eat or drink.

Pouch, box or single?

Pouches are ideal for regular use from home. Stick boxes give you measured servings on the move or at events. Singles are useful for testing flavours. Check the caffeine choice before adding it.

Caffeine guidance

Raspberry and Tropical contain caffeine. The other Endurance Fuel flavours in the current RSG range are caffeine-free. Count caffeine from coffee, gels, chews and other products too, and practice your plan in training.

Tailwind questions

The useful details before you choose

What is Tailwind Endurance Fuel?

Tailwind Endurance Fuel is a carbohydrate-and-electrolyte drink mix for use during longer training and events. It is mixed with water and sipped as part of a practiced fuelling plan.

How should I mix Tailwind?

Follow the instructions on the exact pack. Tailwind UK's current guidance is two to three scoops in 590–710ml of water, sipped over an hour. Start in training and adjust for the session, conditions and your own tolerance.

Should I choose a pouch, box or single stick?

Choose a pouch for regular use, a box for measured sticks on the move, or a single if you want to test a flavour. The flavour and caffeine choice still matter, whichever size you buy.

Which Tailwind flavours contain caffeine?

Raspberry and Tropical contain caffeine. The other Endurance Fuel flavours in the current RSG range are caffeine-free. Count caffeine from coffee, gels, chews and other products too, and practice your plan in training.

Can Tailwind replace gels and bars?

For some athletes, Endurance Fuel can provide most of the carbohydrate and electrolytes they use during a longer session. Others combine it with food, gels, bars or chews. Practice the full plan before race day and make sure it supplies the energy and fluid you need.

Is Tailwind Endurance Fuel suitable for common dietary needs?

Tailwind describes its current UK Endurance Fuel as suitable for vegetarians and vegans and free from wheat, gluten, soy and dairy. Recipes and manufacturing can change, so check the ingredients and allergen information on the exact product before buying if this matters to you.

Preparation and directions
Mix one stick pack or two to three scoops with 590–710ml water and sip over about an hour. In hotter conditions, keep the planned calorie rate and increase water to thirst.
Training and event use

Training: Start with the current pack directions, sip regularly and adjust only after practising the full plan in representative training.

Event use: Use the exact flavour, concentration and hourly intake rehearsed in training. Plan how you will carry or collect enough water.

Certification and testing
Tailwind states that products are independently tested for nutritional accuracy through Eurofins. No sport-testing certification is stated on the product pages checked; drug-tested athletes should check the current pack and batch.
Cautions and individual suitability
Raspberry and Tropical options contain 70mg caffeine per stick pack or two-scoop serving. Tailwind states that caffeinated flavours are not recommended for children or pregnant women. Count caffeine from every source and practise the plan in training. Check both selected flavours before use. Carbohydrate, fluid, sodium and caffeine needs are individual. Practise the complete plan in training, count everything you eat and drink, and check the current pack.
