The anti-chafe job

Reduce friction before repeated movement gets expensive

Long rides, runs and hot sessions create repeated contact between skin, fabric and equipment. Anti-chafe cream adds a practical barrier at the points you already know are vulnerable.

Before

Create the barrier early

Apply before the ride, run or session rather than waiting for friction to become a problem.

Where

Skin or chamois

Use on the areas that repeatedly rub, or apply directly to the cycling chamois.

After

Wash out normally

Chamois Butt'r says its creams rinse from skin and technical clothing without damaging or discolouring them.

Formula guide

Choose by feel and skin preference

The core job is the same. The useful difference is how each formula feels and which ingredients you prefer.

Use the current product label as the final ingredient source.

EurostyleCooling cream with mentholRiders who prefer a cooling sensationContains menthol and witch hazel

How to use it

Simple preparation, placed where it matters

There is no benefit in applying it everywhere. Build a repeatable routine around the specific points that rub for you, your clothing and your equipment.

01

Start clean and dry

Apply before dressing or before the session, following the current pack directions.

02

Target repeat-friction areas

Use enough to create coverage where skin, seams, straps or the saddle usually rub.

03

Carry more when the day is long

Heat, rain and very long sessions can change the job. A sachet is useful when you may need a clean reapplication.

Anti-chafe questions

Useful answers before the long day

Practical guidance based on the current manufacturer information.

Where should I apply Chamois Butt'r?

Apply it to intact skin where rubbing is likely, or directly to a cycling chamois. Follow the current pack directions.

Is it only for cycling?

No. The same friction-management job can be useful for running, triathlon, hiking and other activities where skin or clothing repeatedly rubs.

Will it damage technical clothing?

Chamois Butt'r states that its creams rinse out and do not damage or discolour technical clothing. Wash items according to their care labels.

What is the difference between Original and Eurostyle?

Original is the classic non-greasy cream. Eurostyle adds menthol, witch hazel and other botanical ingredients for a cooling, tingling feel.

Which formula is designed with sensitive skin in mind?

Her' and Coconut are the two formulas most explicitly positioned for sensitive skin. Ingredients still differ, so check the current label and patch test if needed.

Can I use it on broken skin?

No. It is for external use on intact skin. Stop using it if irritation occurs.

Prepare before the session

Solve the friction job before you start moving
